Today, I perhaps had the best lunch date for Chinese food that I've ever had.
It was with Liv.
Camille spent the morning at Camp Monroe. Liv and I had a morning out together.
After we dropped Camille off, we went to the toy library. Then, we went to the mall. We first found some super-cute duds for the girls to wear for pictures with Jacki next week. Then, we(well, she) played on the indoor play equipment. Then, we went for Chinese. Yes, my two-year-old loves Chinese food. She tries anything. I keep waiting for her to get picky, but it just isn't happening. So, I relish in the fact that there is no such thing as a food battle where Livvy is concerned.
I was just lamenting the fact that I didn't have my camera along, when ALAS! I realized tha there was one on my phone. So of course, I had to shoot a few photos of her enjoying "The Garden Combo." And I have to say, it is a lot easier to be discreet taking pictures in pulic with a phone than pulling out my favorite Nikon digital SLR. Though I felt a little teeny-bopper-ish, it sure beat a bunch of people staring and wondering, "Who is that weird lady taking pictures with her big camera in the food court?" (Though I admit I am not above doing that). Anyway, by far, Livvy's favorite morsels were the Lo Mein noodles, and she got quite a charge out of watching me spin the noodles on my fork and watching them slide off, trying to slurp them up.
"Oooohh, mommy....the noodles are fawlin off the forrrrk!!"
To top it all off, her favorite part is that we were sharing the same plate....and I have to admit, that was my favorite part, too.
