Please...."Goodsearch" it

Here is my challenge for you today:

Retrain your internet searching muscles and change from "Google" to "Goodsearch."

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give! (click on icon)

I know, I know. "Google it" has become household phraseology. "Why," you may ask, "should I make this leap?" "It takes too much brainwork to do such a thing." I hear you. It is essential to save those neurons for so many things in life. But this is worth it. And I am not beyond begging.

Here are my top reasons to sacrifice humility and get down on my knees:

Reason #1:

Reason #2: The Association of Retinopathy of Prematurity and Related Diseases

http://www.ropard.org/

Reason #3: Our beloved Dr. Michael Trese, Camille's retinal specialist in Royal Oak, MI

Okay, so to tie all of this together:

Camille, as most of you know, developed Retinopathy of Prematurity, a potentially blinding eye disease, in a severe and agressive form. As a result, she was referred to Dr. Michael Trese, an opthalmologist who is world reknowned for his groundbreaking work and passion for treating ROP.

Dr. Trese was instrumental in founding ROPARD: The Association of Retinopathy of Prematurity and Related Diseases. ROPARD's Mission is two-fold:

1) To fund clinically relevant basic science and clinical research to eliminate retinopathy of prematurity and associated retinal diseases. 2) To fund innovative work leading directly to the development of new low vision devices and teaching techniques and services for children who are visually impaired and their families.

We have already reaped the benefits of ROPARD in so many ways. We frequent the Low Vision Resource Center when we travel up to see Dr. Trese and leech the wisdom of Paula and Rosemary, two Teachers of the Visually Impaired by trade, who staff the center, go to appointments with us, and provide endless amounts of moral support and education. Secondly, ROPARD is instrumental in supporting the retinal research of Dr. Trese and his colleagues. The benefits of that are obvious to see as we watch Camille read her print letters and recognize her colors and our faces, something that would not have been possible without the work of Dr. Trese.
By using Goodsearch as your search engine and selecting ROPARD as the organization you would like to benefit, you earn money for ROPARD. It is as simple as that. It costs you nothing but a moment of time and a retraining of your brain.

So, just do it. Change your internet searching ways to benefit something that is so near and dear to our hearts and our lives.

I'm on my knees...begging....honestly.
